This’s a question made by an american child to his mother while tv shows fast images of a new catastrophe. Inded, Africa is a lost continent, forgotten and helpless. Excepted the black market of diamonds — blood diamonds — ivory, oil or guns the reality cross the other side of the street and we don’t see it. The tragidy is so natural that the flow of images and information make it usual. Africa — the cradle of humanity and the sewer of civilization.
It seems clear that nobody really wants to sorted out Africa problems. The lucrative underworld of the black continent speaks higher that human being’s life. Human lives worthed, proportionally, less than an american human life. Two thousand people had died in 9/11 and the perspective of international security and global historicity has change. Daily thousands die in Africa without this constitutes motive of reflexion or global crying. An American life for a million of African lives. Modern times.
